Every year for the NCAA Tournament, UVA has a tradition of switching to orange helmets and orange gloves for the first round and quarterfinals. These gloves were used by Connor in 2023 when UVA beat Richmond at home 17-8 in a monsoon. The following week UVA beat Georgetown 17-14 in Albany to advance to the Final Four. Connor scored 10 points against Georgetown tying the most in an NCAA Tournament game at UVA.
